On October 15, 2025, during the ERASMUS + week, organized by the Polytechnic University of Tirana, an information session was held regarding the EU-funded projects, which are currently in the implementation process by the UPT.

Assoc. Prof. Blerina Beqaj, lecturer and head of the scientific teaching group of the Water Treatment section, from the Department of Environmental Engineering, presented two projects that are currently being implemented by DIM:

• The Project “jOiNEd For sUstainability – bUilding climate REsilient communities in WB and EU — 1FUTURE”, 101082815 — 1FUTURE — ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE. 2023 – 2026
• The Project “SKILL2SUSTAIN”, 101178204- ERASMUS-EDU-2024-CBHE-STRAND-2. 2025 – 2028

The Polytechnic University of Tirana is a partner in the above-mentioned projects, where the direct beneficiary of this project is the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Department of Environmental Engineering.

All attendees were introduced to the objectives, goals, achievements and benefits so far for both of these projects. This event was a very good opportunity to present the work so far and the goals and objectives for the future.
