As part of the third International Construction and Industry Fair “Sarajevo Industry Fair & Arhi Bau Expo”, held at the Skenderija Center in Sarajevo, Doc. Dr. Nermin Palić, professor at the University College “CEPS – Center for Business Studies” Kiseljak, presented the achievements of the Erasmus+ CBHE SKILL2SUSTAIN project and introduced its key future outcomes.
As part of the third International Construction and Industry Fair, “Sarajevo Industry Fair & Arhi Bau Expo,” held at the Skenderija Center in Sarajevo on 3 June 2026, Doc. Dr. Nermin Palić, professor at the University College “CEPS – Center for Business Studies” Kiseljak, presented the achievements of the Erasmus+ CBHE project SKILL2SUSTAIN project and introduced its key future outcomes.
During the panel discussion “Protection of Critical Infrastructure in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” participants discussed current challenges related to disaster risk management, emphasizing the importance of strengthening institutional capacities, improving preparedness, and enhancing the education of professionals responsible for protecting critical infrastructure.
Within his presentation, Doc. Dr. Nermin Palić showcased the main achievements of the SKILL2SUSTAIN project, which CEPS is implementing together with domestic and international partners under the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education programme. The audience was introduced to the project’s progress, its contribution to strengthening digital and green competencies, and the activities planned for the coming period.
A particular focus was placed on the new Bachelor’s study programme in Disaster Risk Management, developed within the SKILL2SUSTAIN project. The programme has been designed to educate future professionals capable of addressing natural and human-induced disasters through modern approaches to prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery. The study programme will be available to students starting with the 2026/2027 academic year, representing a significant step forward in strengthening higher education capacities in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of disaster risk management.
