SKILL2SUSTAIN Study Visit and Project Management Meeting at the University of Novi Sad

April 20, 2026

From April 15 to 17, 2026, the University of Novi Sad hosted the SKILL2SUSTAIN Study Visit and Project Management Meeting, bringing together project partners from across the Western Balkans and the European Union.

The three-day event combined project coordination with a rich program of academic and research exchange. The first two days were dedicated to the Project Management Meeting, held in the Rectorate Building. Partners reviewed progress across key work packages, including needs assessment for digital and green education in WBC academia (WP2), the establishment of Research and Education Centers (WP3), knowledge transfer activities and curriculum development (WP4), and dissemination and exploitation efforts (WP7). A dedicated Dissemination Reporting Workshop and a Financial Reporting Workshop were also held to support partners in meeting project obligations.

The Study Visit program, held on April 16–17, offered participants the opportunity to explore the University of Novi Sad’s research and innovation ecosystem. Highlights included visits to the Faculty of Technical Sciences – Department of Civil Engineering and Geodesy, where partners were introduced to laboratory facilities, research projects, and applications in sustainable construction and resilience, as well as to the BioSense Institute, which showcased activities in digital agriculture and AI applications.

An Inter-Project Coaching Session presented two related EU-funded projects – CHILD-AI and LivingLAB greenStudio 1.0 – offering insights into good practices in EU project management and funding. The event concluded with a session of thematic lectures delivered by UNS researchers, covering topics such as digital tools for risk and damage assessment, climate-resilient systems, cross-border cooperation, and the green transition in the construction industry.
