The conference “Implementation of ICT and BIM Standards for Sustainable Growth in Montenegro”took place in Podgorica on May 14, 2026, organized by the Institute for Standardization of Montenegro (ISME). The event highlighted the lifelong learning programs developed by the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the University of Montenegro under the SKILL2SUSTAIN project.

Bringing together key stakeholders from public institutions, academia, and the private sector, alongside experts in construction, digitalization, and standardization, the conference aimed to foster dialogue on driving the digital transformation of the construction industry through international ICT and BIM frameworks.

Attendees gained insights into the core objectives of the SKILL2SUSTAIN project, which includes launching innovative lifelong learning programs, integrating BIM and GIS tools into higher education, setting up dedicated BIM/GIS laboratories, and deploying e-learning platforms. The initiative also emphasizes hybrid learning models, advanced staff training, and the active integration of industry professionals into the academic curriculum.
